Between 1977 and 1980 Egan recorded four studio albums for Columbia Records. They are together for the first time on Walter Egan: The Album Collection 1977-1980. those albums – Fundamental Roll, Hi Fi, Not Shy, and The Last Stroll are a perfect example of the “L.A. Golden Era” sound of the late 1970s.

If you’re a fan of singer/songwriter Walter Egan, this box set is essential addition to your collection. It includes a 12 page illustrated book and there’s even a fancy limited signed edition available. It can be purchased through Demon Music Group.
My first interview with Walter Egan was back in 2024.
This week on the Vinyl Professor Podcast, he returns to talk about the long road that lead to the release of this box set. He also shared information on a new book, and his weekly radio show, Walt’s Record Vault, which recently aired its milestone 200th episode on Hippie Radio in Nashville.

Enjoy – Like – Share!
Portions of the interview also aired on my weekly radio show Oldies Without Borders.
